1. Acceptance of Terms

By visiting our homepage or opening any tools on the thorpetech.org domain, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all terms, you must cease using our applications immediately.

2. Local-First Architecture Disclaimer

Our software is constructed on a local-first, serverless design.

• No Server Storage: We do not operate database servers. All asset records, maintenance history, emergency contacts, and document scans reside solely in your browser's local storage database (localStorage) on your machine.
• User Backup Responsibility: Clearing browser cookies, cookies database cache, or hard resetting your browser will permanently delete your profiles. You are solely responsible for manually saving local JSON backups or triggering Google Drive saves. Thorpe Tech cannot retrieve lost data.

3. Disclaimer of Warranties

Thorpe Tech applications are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the application will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data stored locally in the browser will remain safe from browser cache clearings, hardware failures, or software bugs.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Thorpe Tech, its owners, or developers be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Loss of database records or card photos.
• Inaccuracies in vehicle service calculations, recall lookup alerts, or expense statements.
• Actions taken during roadside emergencies or vehicle collisions where the "Accident Help" guidelines are consulted.
• Any financial losses resulting from insurance policy coverage or premium proration estimations.

5. Intellectual Property

The source code, designs, mockups, logo SVGs, and landing layouts are intellectual property of Thorpe Tech. Users are authorized to run the software client-side for personal use. Copying, republishing, or redistributing the software for commercial resale or hosting it under a different domain as a paid commercial utility is strictly prohibited.

6. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to revise these Terms of Service at any time. Any changes will be posted immediately with an updated effective date at the top. Your continued usage of the application denotes acceptance of the revised terms.
